Privacy policy

Only what we need to reply to you and to run this website.

• When you send a form: your name and phone number, and your email if you choose to give it. We also ask for the suburb of the site, the type of job and the answers you pick, such as timing, team size or a preferred day for a site visit. Plus anything you type in the message box.
• Sent with every form: the page you were on, the time, and any ad or campaign tags in the web address, such as utm_source or gclid. Our server also records your IP address and browser type to stop spam.
• When you call or email: your name, number or email address, notes about the job, and any plans or photos you send.
• While you browse: pages viewed, device and browser type, city-level location and how you found us, through the Google tools in clause 04.

Please don’t send health, bank or government ID details. We don’t need them to quote, and we delete them if they arrive.

• To call you back, book a site visit and prepare your quote.
• To run your job if you hire us: contract, permits, handover and warranty records.
• To see which pages help and which ads bring real enquiries.
• To stop spam and misuse of our forms.
• To keep the records that tax and building laws require.

We never sell, rent or trade your details. We don’t send newsletters unless you ask for one.

If you reach this site from one of our Google ads, you may see a different phone number here. It is a Google forwarding number, and your call still rings straight through to us.

For those calls, Google reports the start time, the length and the caller’s area code to our ads account, so we know the ad worked. Calls to our own number are not tracked this way.

We use Google’s measurement tools, loaded through Google Tag Manager. Google may handle this data in the United States and other countries, under the Google Privacy Policy ↗ (opens in a new tab).

Google Analytics 4

Counts visits, pages, devices, city-level location and how you found us. It does not store IP addresses.

Google Ads

Records when an ad visit leads to a call or enquiry, and may show you our ads on other sites.

Google reCAPTCHA

When switched on, it checks that a person sends the form, using browser and interaction data.

Google Fonts and cdnjs

Deliver our typefaces and animation code. They see your IP address but set no cookies.

Our own site keeps the ad tags from your visit in your browser until you close the tab. After you send a form, one cookie holds your first name for up to 15 minutes, so the thank-you page can greet you. It is deleted as soon as that page opens.

Any of these works, and none of them stops you using the site or contacting us.

• Block or clear cookies in your browser’s privacy settings.

• The Apollo Builders group: we are part of the group, and every enquiry is also copied to its inbox. It uses your details only for the reasons in clause 02.
• Our email and web host: they carry and store enquiry emails, and a backup copy kept on our server.
• Google and Cloudflare: through the tools in clause 04.
• People working on your job: such as building surveyors, engineers or centre management, and only once you ask us to quote or build.
• Regulators and courts: only where the law requires it.

Our email and web host may store data on servers outside Australia. We choose providers that protect it to a standard similar to Australian law.

• Enquiries that don’t go ahead: deleted once we no longer need them to follow up.
• Jobs we build: contracts and job records, kept for as long as tax, building and warranty laws require.
• Google Analytics: visit-level data is kept for no more than 14 months.
• Server logs: kept briefly by our web host, for security only.

• The site runs on HTTPS, so what you type into a form is encrypted on its way to us.
• Enquiry backups sit in a folder on our server that the public can’t open.
• Our forms have spam checks and limits on repeat sends.
• Only our team and the Apollo Builders group can see enquiries.
• We never take card payments on this site.

If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@commercialreno.com.au with “Privacy request” in the subject, or call 0422 339 622.

We confirm who you are, then reply within 30 days at no charge. If we can’t do something, such as delete a record the law says we must keep, we explain why in writing.
